Job Description:

Cross is looking for a Temporary Warehouse Associate to work 20-30 hours a week. This person will fabricate in-stock hose assemblies and perform all warehouse functions to accurately receive, pick and ship products. Deliver products to customers providing a high level of customer service satisfaction. Understand and utilize Cross operating systems to always provide effective and efficient customer service.

Reports to the Retail Sales Manager at the store location.

Essential Functions:

• Fabricate hose assemblies from pick tickets
• Receive material by matching the contents of the carton to the packing slip
• Put away stock in correct bin location
• Pick orders correctly by matching the item and quantity picked to the pick ticket
• Package orders for shipping using the appropriate packing material to protect against damage by the carrier; follow instructions & requirements as noted on the pick ticket
• Deliver product to customers, bin fill in appropriate place as instructed
• Understand and communicate customer directions related to product requests

Additional Responsibilities: 

• Fabricate hose assemblies per safe hose process requirements
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse
• Remove pallets from warehouse,  break down and package plastic reels for return to the reel manufacturer
• Perform special projects as assigned by the Retail Sales Manager
• Ship small packages using a PC shipping system
• Process motor freight shipments

Experience and Skills:

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Clean driving record
• Basics of warehouse operations and terminology a plus

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to handle 50 pound packages
• Ability to stand and work in place for 2-3 hours
• Ability to stoop or bend over for long periods while building hose assemblies or taking apart hose reels
• Ability to multitask
• Handles stressful situations well
